Bridge the gap between yoga ‘technology’ and modern sports medicine
Yoga for Sports bridges the gap between modern, evidence-based sports medicine and the timeless wisdom of the yoga tradition. Rather than focusing on their differences, we explore the powerful common ground between these two disciplines.
Training format
12.30pm – 6.30pm daily
This workshop goes beyond the standard approach to teaching yoga. Each sport brings its own unique physical demands and injury risks—that’s one layer. Then each individual comes with their own body, history, and specific needs—that’s another. And when we also consider the mind’s tendencies, breathing patterns, and the balance of the nervous system, we move far beyond yoga as simply “stretching.”
Contemporary sports science increasingly supports the practices yoga has offered for centuries—breath regulation (pranayama), meditation, non-sleep deep rest, visualization, and functional postural work. Yoga is both a technology and a tradition, always aimed at optimizing mind-body performance.
